Get back to movement by combining Pilates and physical therapy.

Rehab smarter.

If you’re currently in physical therapy and wondering what else you can do to make a smooth transition back to everyday activity, combining Pilates with PT may be the answer. At Kinexology we partner with physical therapists to design and execute programs that address the fundamental building blocks of effective movement: strength, stability, mobility, and motor learning.

After talking to your physical therapist about your specific issue, we assign your case to one of the Kinexology Pilates teachers who will design a customized Pilates program that both complements and reinforces the movement work from PT. From that point forward, we’ll work with you one-on-one to execute the plan, either in the studio, or via virtual Pilates sessions, and we’ll check in with your therapist to discuss your progress, identify challenges and revise our approach as needed.

“The combination of Pilates and PT helps achieve lasting results and lifestyle changes. I really think it’s a winning combination.”

When I have isolated issues, PT is able to help with pain relief and specific exercises. Pilates complements the work done in PT by building on the PT exercises and strengthening areas around “problem spots” to prevent future issues. Pilates is also able to help find weak areas that could potentially be problem areas in the future.

“Working with Kinexology and Great Falls PT in tandem has enhanced both my Pilates and my physical therapy experiences.

The combination has resulted in faster results in both, and an opportunity to complement my goals of reducing discomfort and increasing flexibility and strength. The depth and breadth of knowledge that the personnel in both organizations has is amazing. Without breaching any health confidentiality, they can collaborate to find a routine and exercises tailor-made
